The project settings area allows you to modify settings that only apply to the selected project. This screen is divided into eight separate tabs.

A status project Framed can block the modification of project settings and forms. If a focus is completed on a phase, this tab cannot be displayed.

Project links tab

This tab lets you select and view related projects.

A project link simply provides easier access to the project, via links in blocks or views. It allows you to navigate from one project to another, for example: predecessor-successor.

Project links can be found in the Project information and in the view Project header. The report Project review displays project links (single links and parent-child dependent projects)

These are not parent/child projects. The father and child projects of the selected project are available in Settings - Dependent projects tab. However, a child project can also be added as a project link.

Add

This button is used to add a link to another project. You can search for projects or apply a project filter (private or public) to select one or more projects to link to.

Sort

This button is used to sort :

in ascending order on first click (down arrow)
in descending order on second click (arrow up) A third click on this button removes the sorting.

Sorting is performed on the header of a list in the application: list of views, users, projects, etc.

We can have a filter All projects or a filter that works with criteria.

This button makes it easy to find the items you're looking for. You can use an already saved filter (private or public) or specify specific filter criteria.

Once selected, a filter remains active until deselected by the user. When logged out, if a filter was active at logout, it will still be active the next time the user logs in.

It is possible to filter this list of projects with a filter criterion :

Click on Register to apply the filter and Close to return to the list

Delete

Allows you to delete a project link. The project itself will not be deleted.

Dependent projects tab

This tab lets you select and view projects linked to the project: the parent project of the modified project (a project can have only one parent project) and its child projects. The child project of the parent project will therefore be at a lower level in the project hierarchical structure (block Related elements (hierarchical structure))

If a report is launched from the parent project, then data from the child project can also be displayed (sum of resource data, comparison of schedules, etc.).
The wording of the parent project of the selected project can be found in the block Project information and in the view Project header.
The report Project review allows you to display project links (simple links and parent-child dependent projects).

The display of the project's list of child projects is managed via the view List of projects.

Create a children's project

This button allows you to create a new project.

You will then be redirected to the project form .

One of the three project creation rights is required for this button to be displayed. The parent project is therefore automatically added to the newly created project: this is the project through which the project was created.

This button appears after clicking on Add.

Sort

This button is used to sort :

Add children's projects

This button is used to select and search for projects. These projects will then have the project currently being modified as their father project. You can search for projects or apply a project filter (private or public) to select one or more projects to link.

Automation tab

Project settings automation tab

In this tab, you can define an automation. Automations It's a process that determines the validation stages.

For example, I can add an automated request validation or milestone validation function if the associated tasks have all been completed.

You can see the type of automation triggered on the project: phase, milestone or task.

This button allows you to add automation to the project.

The field Variable code is read-only: once the Single object selected, Project Monitor will tell you which code it refers to.
