1. Introduction

This document presents the procedure for setting up links between a project space Project MonitorProject Monitor and the Teams collaborative space. This link allows you to navigate between your project space in Project MonitorProject Monitor and your team on Teams so that you can exchange information with your project team members. Here are examples of the links illustrated in this document :

  • A link in a Teams conversation: to access a project from within a Teams team. In particular, the document will describe how to integrate the Tasks theme of Project MonitorProject Monitor in Teams.
  • A Teams link in the header of the Project MonitorProject Monitor access to a Teams team from the project area Project MonitorProject Monitor.

2. Settings in Teams

2.1 Creating a team

  1. Go to Teams, in the Teams.
  2. At the bottom of the page, click on Join or create a team.
  3. Click on Creating a team.
  4. Click on Creating a team from scratch.

  1. You can choose the type of team, which has no impact on the rest of the settings:
    1. Or Private: users must be authorized to join it.
    2. Or Public: all users of your organization can join it.
  2. Give your team a name. For example: the name of your project in Project MonitorProject Monitor.

  1. Now add your project members to the Teams team you've created.
  2. In the text box, type a name or group to select it and add it to your team.

  1. Click on Add.
  1. Confirm the page.

Your team has been created. You can now enter the conversation and talk to the members of your team.

3. Setup in Project MonitorProject Monitor

3.1 Creating an attribute

  1. Connect to Project MonitorProject Monitor.
  2. From the main menu, go to the theme AdministrationAdministration > Field settings > Attributes
  3. Click on the map ProjectProject.
  4. Click on the Addto create a new attribute.
  5. Give a label to this attribute : Teamsa code, a description, etc.
  6. Complete the creation form with the other fields to be filled in (order, group, etc.), formetc.).
  7. In the themethemechoose Project because it's an attribute that will be visible in project spaces.
  8. In the TypeTypechoose Document because it's an attribute into which we're going to paste a URL link.
  9. Click on RegisterRegister.

3.2 Setting up the "Project header" view

  1. From the main menu, go to AdministrationAdministration > Model settings > ViewsViews.
  2. Use the search function to find the view in the header of your project (to find out, go to your project → Settings - Display tabSettings - Display tab → see the name of the view used in Project headerProject header).
  3. Open the view Project headerProject header concerned.
  4. Go to the Display.
  5. In Project attributesProject attributesClick on the edit pencil to display the list of attributes and add a new one.
  6. Selectattribute Teams created previously.
  7. Click on RegisterRegister.

3.3 Adding the "Teams"attribute to the project

  1. Visit your project.
  2. From the menu, go to Project formsProject formsand click on the desired form .

If you've already linked your attribute to a form, it should now appear in your project's form .

If not, there are two options:
  1. Ifattribute Teams is not in the form :
    1. Click on the main menu, then AdministrationAdministration > Model settings > ViewsViews.
    2. Find the view formform (you can add a filter: view type = form)
    3. Open the relevant view by clicking on it.
    4. Go to the Attribute groupsAttribute groups.
    5. Click on Add.
    6. Selectattribute group inattribute Teams has been affected.
    7. Click on RegisterRegister.
  2. Ifattribute Teams is in a form that is not displayed, then add it to the :
    1. Go to Settings - Display tabSettings - Display tab of your project.
    2. In the FormsFormsselect the missing form .
    3. Click on RegisterRegister.

4. Setting up links

4.1 Creating the Teams link in the header Project MonitorProject Monitor

  1. Click on Project formsProject forms in your project.
  2. Selectattribute Teams and edit it.
  3. A window opens, prompting you to add a document or URL link.

  4. Go to the Teams team you've created at step 2.1 "Create a team above and copy the page URL.
  5. Then, back on Project MonitorProject Monitorin your attribute editor, paste this URL link into the line Enter a URL.
  6. Click on RegisterRegister.
  7. Return to the dashboard .
  8. Click on Teams in your project header.
  9. You'll be taken directly to the Teams team you've created in step 2.1 "Create a team

4.2 Creating the link Project MonitorProject Monitor in the Teams team

  1. On Project MonitorProject MonitorGo to the theme you want to display in Teams. For example, the Tasks theme in order to see the Kanban board in my Teams team. To do this, copy its URL link.
  2. In your Teams team, in the top header, click on the + to add a tab.

  1. Click on Website.

  1. Give a name to the tab you're adding. For example : Project MonitorProject Monitor.
  2. Paste the URL link of theme Project MonitorProject Monitor you've selected. For example: the Tasks theme .
  3. Click on Register.

  1. Click on the tab you've added. In the example : Project MonitorProject Monitor
  2. You can access your project's theme directly from your Teams space (for example, the Tasks theme ).
  3. To go directly to Project MonitorProject Monitorclick on Go to website.
