1. Introduction
This document presents the procedure for setting up links between a project space Project Monitor and the Teams collaborative space. This link allows you to navigate between your project space in
Project Monitor and your team on Teams so that you can exchange information with your project team members. Here are examples of the links illustrated in this document :
- A link in a Teams conversation: to access a project from within a Teams team. In particular, the document will describe how to integrate the Tasks theme of
Project Monitor in Teams.
- A Teams link in the header of the
Project Monitor access to a Teams team from the project area
Project Monitor.
2. Settings in Teams
2.1 Creating a team
- Go to Teams, in the
Teams
. - At the bottom of the page, click on
Join or create a team
. - Click on

.
- You can choose the type of team, which has no impact on the rest of the settings:
- Or
Private: users must be authorized to join it
. - Or
Public: all users of your organization can join it
. - Give your team a name. For example: the name of your project in
Project Monitor.
- Now add your project members to the Teams team you've created.
- In the text box, type a name or group to select it and add it to your team.
- Click on
Add
.
Confirm
the page.
Your team has been created. You can now enter the conversation and talk to the members of your team.
3. Setup in
Project Monitor
3.1 Creating an attribute
- Connect to
Project Monitor.
- From the main menu, go to the theme
Administration >
Field settings
>Attributes
- Click on the map
Project.
- Click on the
Add
to create a new attribute. - Give a label to this attribute :
Teams
a code, a description, etc. - Complete the creation form with the other fields to be filled in (order, group, etc.), formetc.).
- In the
theme
chooseProject
because it's an attribute that will be visible in project spaces. - In the
Type
chooseDocument
because it's an attribute into which we're going to paste a URL link. - Click on
Register
.
3.2 Setting up the "Project header" view
- From the main menu, go to
Administration >
Model settings
- Go to map
Views.
- Use the filters to search for the view used as a header in your project (to find out, go to your project → view).
Setting
→Display
→ see the name of the view used inProject header
). - Open the relevant view .
- Go to the
Display
. - In
Project attributes
Click on the edit pencil to display the list of attributes and add a new one. - Selectattribute
Teams
. Register
the view.
3.3 Adding the "Teams"attribute to the project
- Visit your project.
- From the menu, go to
Forms
and click on the desired form .
If you've already linked your attribute to a form, it should now appear in your project's form .
If not, there are two options:
- Ifattribute
Teams
is not in the form : - Click on the main menu, then
Administration >
Model settings
>Views.
- Find the view
form
(you can add a filter: view type = form) - Open the relevant view by clicking on it.
- Go to the
Project attribute groups
. - Click on
Add
. - Selectattribute group inattribute
Teams
has been affected. Register
the view.- Ifattribute
Teams
is in a form that is not displayed, then add it to the : - Click on project settings, then on the tab
Display
. - In the
Forms
select the missing form . Register

4. Setting up links
4.1 Creating the Teams link in the header
Project Monitor
- In my project area, via the menu, go to Forms.
- Selectattribute
Teams
and edit it. - Go to the Teams team you created in step 2.1 "Create a team" above and copy the URL of the page.
- Then, back on
Project Monitorin your attribute editor, paste this URL link into the line
Enter a URL
. Register
.- Return to the project home page.
- Click on
Teams
in your project header. - You are taken directly to the Teams team you created in step 2.1 "Create a team".
A window opens, prompting you to add a document or URL link.
4.2 Creating the link
Project Monitor in the Teams team
- On
Project MonitorGo to the theme you want to display in Teams. For example, the Tasks theme in order to see the Kanban board in my Teams team. To do this, copy its URL link.
- In your Teams team, in the top header, click on the
+
to add a tab.
- Click on
Website
.
- Give a name to the tab you're adding. For example :
Project Monitor.
- Paste the URL link of theme
Project Monitor you've selected. For example: the Tasks theme .
- Click on
Register
.
- Click on the tab you've added. In the example :
Project Monitor
- You can access your project's theme directly from your Teams space (for example, the Tasks theme ).
