Capacity plan presentation

Unlike the scheduleThe capacity plan contains the other projects on which resources are working and have remaining work or completed work.

On this screen, you can :

• Color-coded resource availability at a glance
• Rapidly allocate new resources
• Modify the remaining work on several projects for a resource, or on the contrary for several resources on a project.

By hovering over a gray break bar (project or resource), the values for availability, capacity, remaining work and completed are displayed, depending on the period.

Scope of the capacity plan

The data displayed in the capacity plan can be modified using several elements:

1. Filter on resources
2. Filter more precisely, using resources dynamically or statically
3. Filter project (refines the scope of the resource filter)
4. Filter in greater detail, either dynamically or statically
5. Choosing the period display of plan
6. Assignments with remaining work : Only assignments with remaining work displayed
7. Assignments with completed : Only assignments marked as " completed displayed
8. Specify the number of rows to be displayed with the selected filter.
9. View : Launch of the plan display

Displaying the capacity plan

How do I display the capacity plan by month, week or day?

It is possible to change the granularity of the load plan , depending on the desired scheduling finesse of the remaining work.

1. View the Capacity Plan (with desired perimeter)
2. Click on Month, Week or Day to change the granularity of the capacity plan .

💡

Tip: You can change the default granularity of the resource and capacity plan screens. Simply select  Month, Week or Day in the field Default granularity of the Global configuration.

How to display more or less details about assignments?

Certain lines in the capacity plan can be folded and unfolded. Assignments displayed can be grouped by project or by resource.

1. Unfold or Fold all lines of the Capacity Plan.
2. Unfold or Fold the rows of the resource or project.

3. Group by by project or by resource.

4. Modify density lines (Normal or High), which will allow you to change the width of the displayed lines.

Assignment information

A range of information can be consulted without leaving the capacity plan screen. Simply click on the tooltips located to the right of the project, phase or resource label.

1. Assign assign a resource to a new project or phase available only in resource-based grouping).
