What is the Capability plan ?

The capacity plan makes it easy to visualize which resources are planned or carried out in which phases, so you can allocate resources to projects as needed.

An allocation corresponds to a resource assigned to a phase or project. The resource can therefore enter time completed on the phase. Activity entries. The project manager can define the target work to be carried out and the remaining work of the assigned resource.

When you first record remaining work :

When the global RAF is initialized, the remaining work is smoothed over a date range ( phase start date or scheduling date and phase end date), excluding days containing completed and manual detailed remaining work , and excluding days not worked by the resource. Resources - Calendar tab

When a phase is shifted, if it contains detailed RAF and, following this modification, the detailed RAF is no longer contained in the phase, then :

Manual detailed remaining work that is no longer between the start and end of the phase is cancelled.

The smoothed detailed remaining work is recalculated and automatically smoothed again.

In the absence of RAFDM, a day contains RAFDM or the value - if the RAFG is not filled in.

There is no view for this screen.

The number of assignments displayed corresponds to the sum of all assignments on a phase for the selected resources/phases. In fact, even though I've selected 14 resources, I may have selected other resources via the project selector, and a resource may be assigned to several phases.

The phase lines displayed are those for which the resource has been assigned, and for which the resource has planned remaining work and/or completed.

An Other assignments line contains values that are either hidden by the display options (Assignments with remaining work or Assignments with completed work) or that contain completed work entered outside the assignment dates. If there is no detailed remaining work , but there is RAFG, then the project can be included in this line.

Depending on the calendar setting (EN-US), the first day of the week may vary. For example - in week view, when hovering over a week, the day displayed is Sunday, - in day view, weeks start on Sunday

Access the capacity plan (only resources with the same hierarchical level or attached to no structure are visible, rather than all resources combined, if the role is set to hierarchical role )

Button name	Description
Select resources	A pane appears, allowing you to select one or more resources, or even all resources. A text search can be used to find resources.
Filter (resource)	Here is the list of filter criteria (by default) that can be used to select items for export: - Contains - Type - category - That assets - Profile - Attachments - Generic resource
Select projects	A pane appears, allowing you to select one or more projects, or even all projects. A text search can be used to find projects. 🚨The aim here is to select the resources allocated to these various projects, not the projects themselves.
Filter (project)	Here is the list of filter criteria (by default) that can be used to select items for export: - Contains - Attachments - status - Description - theme - user role(s) - With late milestones - Father project - Start of smoothing of remaining work - project template - project manager - Start date - End date 🚨The aim here is to select the resources allocated to these various projects, not the projects themselves.
Assignments with remaining work	This button will display only the resources with remaining work for the selected projects.
Assignments with completed	This button will display only those resources that are completed for the selected projects.
View	Displays the capacity plan according to the selected resources 🚩 If no resource is selected, this button will be grayed out: it is no longer possible to display the capacity plan .
Day	When the capacity plan is displayed by month or week, this button provides a view by day. 🚨 Display granularity may have been set by default via the Default granularity of the Global configuration
Week	When the capacity plan is displayed by day or month, this button provides a view by week. 🚨 Display granularity may have been set by default via the Default granularity of the Global configuration
Month	When the capacity plan is displayed by day or week, this button can be used to display a view by month. 🚨 Display granularity may have been set by default via the Default granularity of the Global configuration
Full screen	Displays the capacity plan in full screen mode (always in a browser tab)
Exit full screen mode	Returns to a standard view of the capacity plan , with the perimeter part of the capacity plan at the top of the screen.
Modify density	Choice between `Normal` and `High`. With a high density, more resource lines will appear in the list (without changing page). Lines will be thinner than with normal density.
Group by	Select grouping by Resource or Project
Fold everything	In the capacity plan header: This button is used to fold all lines for all resources displayed: projects and phases. In the capacity plan , at resource level: This button is used to fold all lines for the resource: projects and phases 🚩 This button can be accessed from the capacity plan header line, on the left AND at resource level by means of the chevron.
Unfold all	In the capacity plan header: This button unfolds all lines for all resources: projects and phases. In the capacity plan , at resource level: This button unfolds all lines for the resource: projects and phases 🚩 This button can be accessed from the capacity plan header line, on the left AND at resource level by means of the chevron.
Folding a level	Capacity plan header: Allows you to fold a level on the capacity plan : fold project phases, or fold resource projects, for example. In the capacity plan , at resource level: This button unfolds all lines for the resource: projects and phases. 🚩 This button can be accessed from the capacity plan header line, on the left AND at resource level by means of the chevron.
Unfold a level	In the capacity plan header: Allows you to unfold a level on the capacity plan : unfold project phases, or unfold resource projects, for example. Edit	Editing is possible on capacity plan boxes, which correspond to a resource, a phase and a day, week or month (depending on the display mode selected) 💡Data shown in bold are those that have been defined manually. Those that are not have been defined via remaining work smoothing (automatic) and have not been modified.
Newsletter	A tooltip is displayed when hovering over a project or phase to which the resource is assigned. For projects, you can see: start date, end date and remaining work smoothing start date. For phases, you can see: start date, end date and remaining work smoothing start date.
Contextual information	Information is available by hovering over a box on the capacity plan : - `availability` - `remaining work ressource` - `completed` - `capacity` This information does not change if the display parameters are modified (display of assignments with remaining work, with completed, by day, week, month, etc.).
Assign to a new project	This button lets you quickly add an assignment to one or more resources. It triggers a Project and Phase selection popup.
View resource activity	This button takes you to the resource's activity entry screen. Activity entries 🚩 This button is available via a resource's contextual menu . Rights required : View all activity tracking
Consult the resource sheet	This button is used to consult a resource file. Resources 🚩 This button is available via a resource's contextual menu . Rights required : Consult resources
Remove resource	This button is used to remove the resource from the phase(not only for scheduling the remaining work), only possible if there is no completed registered for the resource. Rights required : Deleting assignments in the resource theme 🚩 This button is available via a resource's contextual menu .
Reassign remaining work	This button is used to transfer loadremaining work) from the resource to one or more other resources. Required rights : Assigning a generic resource or Assigning a named resource 🚩 This button is available via the contextual menu of a resource or phase.

Modification of the remaining work is permitted on a phase whose end date is later than the start date of global remaining work smoothing (RAFG) or later than the current date.
