Campaign
Campaigns allow you to automatically collect project data from the right people, without having to manually follow up with them via email. They centralize the request, data entry, and monitoring completion rate all on a single screen.
As a PMO, keeping your portfolios up to date all too often involves sending individual reminders to project managers. Campaigns turn this process on its head: you define what information you want to collect, from which projects, and from whom, and then Project Monitor is responsible for notifying contributors and tracking submissions.
In practical terms, a campaign allows you to:
- request that one or more project attributes (progress, weather, comments, etc.) be updated for a specific group,
- define a specific scope of relevant projects,
- assign roles responsible for data entry,
- track the completion rate at a glance.
In Project Monitor...a campaign always focuses on projects. If you also use Strat Monitor, you'll find the same functionality there, but it can also target plans or actions.
