A user will be created when at least the mandatory fields on this form have been filled in and the information saved.
The user will be able to connect to the application using the login and password defined.
Only No access is filled in when a user is created. Other tabs must be filled in when modifying a user.
This screen cannot be used to create resources, unless the managed resource is checked.
First-time login and password setup
When a user is created (either via import or individually), a random password is automatically generated. Neither the administrator nor the user receives it.
Depending on your platform's login method, the user's first login works as follows:
- SSO Login: The user logs in directly through your organization's SSO system, without having to enter a password.
- Logging in with a username and password: The user clicks "Forgot Password " on the login screen. The user then receives an email allowing them to reset their password themselves, in accordance with the platform's rules.
