Linking one project to another

Linking one project to another

Dependencies can be project links or dependent projects (parent/child).

A project link simply provides easier access to the project concerned, via links in blocks or views. It allows you to navigate from one project to another, for example: predecessor (Alpha Service 2024) to successor (Alpha Service 2025), request to project, or project to maintenance.

A dependent project (parent/child) corresponds to a program management requirement: project data is then consolidated on dashboards, and reports can be run on parent and child projects.

💡

If you want the information to be consolidated at the dashboard and report block level, you will need to check the option. Parent-child consolidationParent-child consolidation on the page Global configurationGlobal configuration.
