A dependency can be created as soon as your schedule contains at least two schedule objects, whether these are phases or milestones.

Dependencies can be created in two ways:

• From the gantt chart
• From phase or milestone details

From the gantt chart

1. Go to Planning of the project.
2. Click and hold on the starting point of the schedule object from which the dependency starts.
3. Drag to the point on the objectphase or milestone) where the dependency is to be applied and release the click.

Dependency is displayed in dotted lines.

4. Click on Register once all dependencies have been set.

From phase or milestone details

1. Go to Planning of the project.
2. Click on the contextual menu to access milestone details.
3. Click on Edit.

The milestone modification window appears.

4. Click on Planning - Dependencies tab.
5. Click on the Add.

A new dependency line is displayed.

6. Select the phase or milestone to which you wish to create a dependency and the Type dependence and Delay if required.
7. Click on Edit to save the milestone.
8. Click on Register.

It is also possible to add an external dependency: this is a dependency external to the project. Simply repeat the same operation, but in the External dependencies.
