Global configuration - User session management section
It is possible to set what happens after the browser is closed, if the user has not logged out: systematic logout, or for a set number of days.
Here are the fields found in this screen:
Provides access to a platform Project Monitor
This button appears if a guest userrole viewer) has been created on the platform.
No user or password is required. This button allows you to log in without a login, and view data only. This option can be configured for a user on the platform, see :
No access
If the platform includes SSO settings, this button will appear. If the user logs out from the logout menu or by time-out, it will be possible for him/her to identify him/herself using a login and password other than the application's own.
Forgot your password? If the user has forgotten their password or has not yet set one (first-time login), they can click this button to send an email. With this email, the user can set their password and log in to the application.
For security reasons, the message is intentionally the same regardless of whether the account exists or not: “If this account exists, a password reset email will be sent.”
First-time login and password setup
When a user is created (either via import or individually), a random password is automatically generated. Neither the administrator nor the user receives it.
Depending on your platform's login method, the user's first login works as follows:
- SSO Login: The user logs in directly through your organization's SSO system, without having to enter a password.
- Logging in with a username and password: The user clicks "Forgot Password " on the login screen. The user then receives an email allowing them to reset their password themselves, in accordance with the platform's rules.
