forecast total distributed The forecast total, like the remaining work, is one of the representations that make up resource scheduling . It is a "general" scheduling at the monthly level, calculated automatically. It is historized by period initialization each month. Unlike the remaining work, this representation is not decremented over time.

The forecast total works with a forecast rate (q).

⚙ Formula : q = (sum of distributed forecasts for projects/phases to which the resource is allocated) / capacity

(sum of distributed forecasts for projects to which the resource is assigned). representation for resources, used to manage resource allocation. The forecast total remainingforecast total is a representation for resources, used to control resource allocation. It corresponds to the forecast total for the last month after period initialization. This month must be included in the choice of period displayed in the capacity plan .

When hovering over the cells, the resource forecast rate is indicated on the capacity plan for the month using a color code 👇

The notion of representation is displayed according to a font style on the cells for a given period (day, week, month).

Activate forecast total entry

Modify the relevant parameter structure

  1. Click on the Main menuMain menuthen on the AdministrationAdministration.
  2. In the Measurement settings > Resource settingsclick on the map parameter structuresparameter structures.
  3. Go to the relevant parameter structure.
  4. Add representations forecast total and forecast total remaining.
  5. Click on RegisterRegister.

In plan of capacity

  1. Access the capacity plan (Main menuMain menu > Resource managementResource management > Capacity PlanCapacity Plan)
  2. Select display type forecast total resources.
  3. Enter the forecast total for the desired projects and resources, comparing it with the remaining work already entered.
