Calendar
There are many different types of calendar, and many different uses. A calendar can be defined for resources, for phases and milestones, and for financial documents.
It is possible to mark days that are worked and days that are not.
For example, we can have a French calendar with public holidays such as May 8 or July 14, and create a new calendar specific to Alsace-Moselle, which has additional public holidays. You can also mark all Wednesdays as non-working days.
There are three types of calendars:
- the platform calendar, used by default for all platform users, which defines, for example, days not worked as public holidays.
- the hierarchical calendar, a calendar specific to a structure perimeter
- the resource calendar, a calendar specific to the resource (part-time management, exceptional absences, etc.). The calendar can be adapted by the resource itself, unlike the platform and hierarchical calendars.

Calendar management (viewing, creating, editing, and deleting) is now controlled solely by a general permission.
The structure link a calendar is still used for business purposes: it allows you to filter which resources are affected by the calendar. It no longer determines access rights to the calendar itself.
Exception: Viewing and modifying a specific resource calendar are still controlled by the structure the resource in question.

Calendar Type and Rules
The rules define which days in the calendar are workdays and which are non-workdays. Recurring rules apply to all years; specific rules apply only to the selected year.
When you open the application, you'll see a list of recurring rules. Two rules are automatically created for non-working days: New Year's Day and weekends.
You can edit rules that have already been created from the contextual menu > Edit the rule or
Delete.
Create a rule that applies to all years
These rules apply to all days of the year (for example: New Year's Day, a non-working Sunday).
Click on Add a rule to open the creation modal, then fill in the following fields:
The rule you created appears in the calendar at the bottom of the page, color-coded to indicate workdays and non-workdays.
Be sure to click on Confirm to save your changes.
Create a rule specific to the selected year
These rules apply only to the selected year (for example: a floating holiday, a long weekend, or a special closure).
You can create a new rule by clicking on a specific day in the Calendars - Calendar at the bottom of the page.
Click on Add a rule to open the creation modal, then fill in the following fields:
The rule you created appears in the calendar at the bottom of the page, color-coded to indicate workdays and non-workdays.
Be sure to click on Confirm to save your changes.
Possible errors:
- Duplicate rule labels: Two rules cannot have the same label (whether among recurring rules or among rules specific to the same year). If a duplicate is detected, validation fails: the affected cell turns red, and awarning message warning above the "Label" column, as well as in the rule editing modal.
- Duplicate calendar code: If another calendar is already using the same code (excluding an empty code), the form valid, but an error is displayed upon saving.
Calendar
This calendar lets you see which days are workdays and which are non-workdays, using a color-coding system:
- Days off are displayed in pink,
- Days worked on an exceptional basis are displayed in blue,
- Days that are worked as usual are not marked with a specific color.
You can navigate from year to year to check the rules that were applied, and create a new rule by clicking on a specific day: Calendars - Create a rule specific to the selected year
