List of portfolio scenarios
Rights required : Access portfolio scenarios
No mass action on the list of portfolio scenarios is possible.
Allows you to add a portfolio scenario. No rights are required when you already have access to scenarios.
This button allows you to easily copy a portfolio scenario portfolio predefined framework). No rights are required if you already have access to the scenarios.
Allows you to modify a portfolio scenario. No rights are required when you already have access to the scenarios.
This button is used to sort :
- in ascending order on first click (down arrow)
- in descending order on second click (arrow up) A third click on this button removes the sorting.
Sorting is performed on the header of a list in the application: list of views, users, projects, etc.
We can have a filter All projects or a filter that works with criteria.
This button makes it easy to find the items you're looking for. You can use an already saved filter (private or public) or specify specific filter criteria.
Click on Register to apply the filter and
Close to return to the list.
Displays the list of changes made to this portfolio scenario by all users.
Stocks are sorted from the most recent to the oldest date.
Allows you to delete a portfolio scenario. No rights are required if you already have access to the scenarios. A message appears.
Creating and modifying a portfolio scenario (frame definition)
This form allows you to create a new portfolio scenario.
It provides a framework for selecting candidate projects.
After creation, an email notification is sent to you:
If the scenario was created by duplicating another scenario, then the fields are pre-filled with a copy of the source scenario and the label is prefixed with "Copy:". Projects selected and adjustments made in the previous scenario are not retained.

If multilingual configuration is enabled, an additional field must be filled in a section Multilingual.
This field corresponds to the object label in the other language.
Portfolios can be linked to hierarchies, if their structure link to the object portfolio is defined on Optional or Mandatory.

This feature is useful for applying your modifications while continuing to change information on the same page. This button is available when you are modifying an element that has already been created.
Modify portfolio scenario
Several actions can be taken on the portfolio scenario to match the selected projects with the minimum and maximum budget and resource loads.
- 🙂☹️ A health block displays the projects selected and the projects available to build a portfolio scenario. Projects added to or removed from the scenario have an impact on this health block: it combines resource and budget gauges.
- 👥 The load gauge for the resources, with the minimum/maximum constraint defined in the scenario. If no constraints are defined, then no gauge is displayed. Consolidation totals are accumulated as for other constraint types.
- 💸 The load gauge for budgets, with the minimum/maximum constraint defined in the scenario. If no constraints are defined, then no gauge is displayed. Consolidation totals are accumulated in the same way as for other constraint types.
Modifications to this screen do not affect the projects themselves. Projecthistory is not affected either.
A snapshot is created when the scenario is created, and the scenario data is from that day. The day is shown in the top left-hand corner of the screen. This date may change if you update the data.
This screen automatically saves your changes.
Here are the fields found in this screen:
It is possible to find other fields in this table, such as project attributes. Project attributes are added when the portfolio scenario is created. Once created, they can no longer be modified. You will need to create a new scenario.
Display
This button allows you to filter projects in the list of candidate projects using criteria.
You can filter by project and resource labels, project attributes, and project or resource hierarchies. You can combine multiple filter criteria.
Only the lines containing the searched value are then displayed. There is no impact on the project counter: the projects added to the basket are still counted as the same number, regardless of the criteria used to reduce the list.
After performing a search, you can close the search by clicking on the cross and return to the complete list of candidate projects in portfolio.
This button allows you to fold a project line and no longer see the details in terms of budgets or resources: profiles and analytical axes used will no longer be displayed.
This button allows you to expand a project line and view details in terms of budgets or resources: profiles and analytical axes used are displayed.
If no profile: No profile will be displayed.
This button displays the totals of your scenario's resource and budget columns, if they are spread over several years or financial years. The totals cannot be modified, but are updated each time the scenario is modified. Budget totals correspond to the budget gauge at the top of the scenario, and the same applies to resources.
This button is used to sort :
- in ascending order on first click (down arrow)
- in descending order on second click (arrow up) A third click on this button removes the sorting.
Sorting is performed on the header of a list in the application: list of views, users, projects, etc.
Planning and resources
The gantt chart to visualize the timing of the projects in the scenario at a glance.
The gantt chart is displayed according to the projects selected. If you deselect a project, it will no longer appear in the Gantt. It can be easily shown or hidden.
The period graphically is based on the start date and end date of the project. You can zoom in and out on the gantt chart portfolio scenario portfolio a time scale (months, years) to analyze it more effectively.
A tooltip appears when you hover over a project. This tooltip provides the following information: project name, start date, and end date. You can modify project dates in the Gantt chart or in the table, and workloads are modified accordingly.
Please note that the gantt chart will not be displayed if more than 300 projects are part of the scenario, whether selected or not.
The plan can be displayed on a portfolio scenario. It will allow you to view the resource profiles and workloads of the selected projects in greater detail. The capacity remaining work allocated remaining work are displayed in this graph.
Please note that the load plan will not be displayed if more than 300 projects are part of the scenario, whether selected or not.
Charges are displayed on a monthly basis. When a resource is assigned to multiple projects, its capacity counted only once. You can choose whether or not to display certain resource profiles in the graph by clicking on the profile legend on the right. If scenario data is modified, the plan is automatically updated with the new values. The capacity of the resources displayed in the plan can be filtered by clicking on the profiles in the plan legend. This allows you to view the capacity only certain profiles, such as a developer or a project manager contracting authority.
portfolio data
This button allows you to choose a new date for a project.
This may be a project start or end date, for example.
If the dates of a project change, then the gauge levels must correspond to the totals of the columns in the table for each resource or budget constraint.
The data for this project is not affected in any way; this is a projection. The change will be made in the project if it is selected for the future portfolio .
This button allows you to update the scenario data with the latest project data. This will update the data date (available at the top left of the screen) with the current date.
Please note that all changes made to the scenario will be overwritten with the new "actual" project data.
This button allows you to modify budget or resource amounts on a project line.
Please note that these changes do not have a direct impact on the projects, but only on the scenario currently under construction.
This button allows you to select or deselect a candidate project individually. The portfolio scenario portfolio then portfolio adjusted to budget resource constraints defined in the framework. The impact will be visible in the gauges at the top of the screen. When you first arrive on the screen, all projects are selected.
This button allows you to (de)select all candidate projects with a single click. The portfolio scenario will then be adjusted to the budget and resource constraints defined in the framework. The impact will be visible in the gauges at the top of the screen. On arrival at the screen the first time, all projects are selected.
This button is used to modify the project framework: budget or resource constraints, scenario name... Not all frame fields can be modified. You'll need to create a new scenario to change the list of candidate projects, the code or the attributes.
Deepen the analysis
Once the scenario appears to be correct, this button allows you to create a portfolio the selected candidate projects.
An email will then be sent to manager . It contains the list of projects that have been included in portfolio specifies any adjustments (budget) that may be necessary.
The portfolio "correct" once all these changes have been made, project by project (modification of project start/end dates, modification of the budget).
From the email, you can click on the button View portfolio
🚩 This button is grayed out if no candidate project is selected.
This button exports the portfolio scenario as an .xlsx file. The name of this file is the name of the scenario.
